Management of expectations is critical in any project. Ethics in business also plays a strong role. In the public safety environment, trust has an even deeper meaning. Our project teams take each job personally - never handling more than one project at a time, always focused on craftsmanship, delivery deadlines, implementation, and customer assistance.
Deployment and implementation are key to the success of a project, however, they are often overlooked or not clearly defined during project negotiations. Our team focuses on a solid, agreeable statement of work. We understand the growing needs of each agency. We know that often the commitments made by agency personnel may require adjustment later in the project due to staff changes, public conflict and availability of agency resources. We remain flexible, all the while providing quality service. Our deployment team is comprised of individuals with a minimum of three years field experience and public safety background. Our instructors are licensed police instructors, many are former law enforcement officers or public safety officials. When we commit to a schedule, you can rest assured we will be on time, every time. When fate steps in, you can also rest assured we will work with you to avoid costly delays or project overruns. Professionalism and adaptability are key.
We pride ourselves on providing the most current and legally viable systems to our clients. We will not enter into a contract with a client that does not also negotiate a maintenance and support plan with us. We believe in a long-term relationship with the customer because you never know when you will need assistance... today, tomorrow, four years from now. The Indico product suite needs to stay running and reliable all the time. Each contract includes a one-year maintenance plan included in the price. Our clients are entitled to unlimited telephone, web, and email support. We provide access web based, interactive CRM management for each client. We also provide an online BBS for our clients to participate in - in fact many of our customers are moderators on this site. We sponsor and fully support user groups, although we demand that client agencies maintain governance of each group. Our maintenance contracts entitle each client to quarterly or annual updates on each licensed product, and full support during the upgrade process. Clients that are current under a maintenance plan also recieve the added bonus of discounted licensing on additional Indico products and reduced on-site support and refresher training. Clients may also benefit from additional custom reports, documentation, and training tools that are readily available from our secure FTP site. In short, we leave no avenue unavailable for client satisfcation.
There are as many different licensing needs as there are agencies. We understand that different agencies must procure their information technology management systems in different ways. We offer licenses based on classic seat or user models for most agencies. For those that have a slightly flexible budget, we offer enterprise (blanket) licensing with unlimited CAL's. For those on a strict budget, we offer subscription based licensing on monthly, quarterly and annual basis. We even provide hosted options for those agencies that do not yet have an IT department or cannot budget for the necessary server environment. In short, we will work with the customer to fit just about any budget. We will even provide assistance with grant applications and locating sponsors.
Beyond the basic licensing schema, our customers have also come to understand that knowledge is power. The information they collect has value not only internally to the agency, but to many other different commercial operations. We help our clients package and export non-sensitive, historic and statistical data that is widely in demand by organizations such as underwriters or educational institutions. Revenue from these sources is often capable of supporting the license maintenance or even paying for the initial software license. Agencies may also make information available on a transactional basis in a community kiosk scenario. Functions such as accident report copies, tow records, online citation e-pay and other sources mean potential revenue sources for the agency. Budget need not always be limited to a tax base.
PROJECT IMPLEMENTATION
Every project has a life-cycle. Our philosophy of treating each project like a living organism allows us to maintain the necessary focus and respect required to result in customer satisfaction. We won't let a client accept a system that is not fully delivered; nor will we call a project complete unless we believe we can trust our very lives to the dependability of the implementation.
"In days when the public safety is imminently threatened, and the fate of a nation may hang upon a single act, we owe frank speech, above all other men, to him who is highest in authority. I shall speak to you as man to man."
-Robert Dale Owen
